SYNOPSIS

Analepsis is a dance and circus show, a flashback that tells a story of action and reaction between the body and the object, subjecting the body to acrobatic and tightrope walking experiences directed by the object. Body and object are the main axis of a piece that acts in both directions, that goes from the body to the object, and from the object to the body. Curiosity, distrust and manipulation are the elements used to connect various moments of the discourse and transfer the action to the past.

SYNOPSIS

MULTIPERSPECTIVES is an investigation based on an academic and performative work entitled Philosophy and aesthetics of the body in the choreographed circus: multidisciplinary and transversal perspectives, between the dialogues between dance and the circus and the new scenic complexities, presented as a thesis by the Universidade Rey Juan Carlos, in 2020. The installation arises from the practical need for action and the perspective of the viewer as a contemporary reflection.

Starting from the first capsule presented at the Escena do Cambio 2021 Festival, where a contact sound device is proposed around an installation of taut wires, with the non-participation of the public due to the current problem of distances.

Multiperspectives walks in research towards a Capsule #2, with the theoretical framework of a doctoral thesis started in October 2021, with title

Body, object, time and space, as supports for the performing arts: limits and confluences between contemporary dance and circus in 21st century Spain, directed by Dr. Carlos Tejo from the University of Vigo.

MULTIPERSPECTIVES#3 is an original and new proposal that starts from the viewer's perspective as contemporary reflection. It combines theatrical improvisation, dance, circus and performance, to leave space for interaction with the audience.

A proposal that experiments with the limits of the performing arts to confront the reality of the space around us: the boundaries between private and public, and the experiential in art in a shared circus installation in real time.

This constantly developing proposal culminates his research in capsule #3, being the practical part of a doctoral thesis "Limits and Confluences between contemporary dance and circus in S.XXI Spain", directed by Carlos Tejo at the University of Vigo, (2021-2024).

SYNOPSIS

Nina, brave and cheerful in equal parts, finds some very special flowers that lead her to discover a fantastic world, inhabited by magical, powerful and funny beings. Everything is so different, so bright, so beautiful! But Nina misses her home and decides to leave. The point is that this world is a labyrinth and like all labyrinths, it is very easy to enter but very difficult to get out. Will she get it?

Nina Ninette is an initiation story that is inspired by the aesthetics of the Triadic Ballet celebrating the centenary of its premiere, to dance a story of beauty and rebellion.

SYNOPSIS

Four women create a secret language on stage in which to protect the mysterious silence that animates the heart of existence. A language that resists in what still cannot be named.

The simple image of a vertical dance rope hanging from the ceiling of a theater evokes what sustains us between life and death.

Alma wonders what can be danced on the scene today, how to interrupt the dances that emerge from specialized virtuosity and selfie and spectacular production.

SYNOPSIS

Four walkers who meet and meet again in a shared ritual. An amalgam of stories that converge at the meeting point: The Hall of Lost Steps.

The Hall of the Lost Steps brings together four walkers driven by displacement as a universal action that connects them. The confluence of four paths in a common space, a meeting point where bodies, times and states meet. Everything is there, everything is present.

Putting the body to meet the body itself and reinvent it, reinterpret it, resize it.

SYNOPSIS

EAurora Boreal exposes the durability of things. It reflects on the durability of a stage work. Can it change over time? Does it need to change, or remain frozen?
The fleeting nature of things as a social requirement already established, apparently approved by society. Where are we going? What do we want? What do we create?
Aurora Boreal is based on this concept of being exposed to a society of fleeting consumption, where human attention is increasingly scarce. Like the dance that light performs in Nordic geographies, these apparent fleeting luminosities, which only occur at a certain time of the year, patience is cultivated, and it is so fast that it leaves us with a feeling of fleeting serenity: the ephemeral is the changing, where the object is very important in relation to the body as a parallelism or interaction.
The machinery of desire.
The intimacy of movement
